| After many nightssssssss of tortorous planningggggg.......
After last minute packinggggg..... wear our crocs and!
Day 0 & 1 - 5th & 6th Aug
Took the 21:15 train to 新宿. Reached at about 22:00, met Jasline and proceeded to take trains to 高崎 in 群馬県 to take the night train to 新潟. Reached abt 04:00, ate some breakfast, then continued the journey at about 06:00 plus. Took our first along-the-seaside train, saw alot of rice fields (新潟's famous for its rice) and after several times of changing trains, and 1 episode of drama we finally reached 青森 at 17:00 plus. Went to eat at Yoshinoya and shortly after got a rather good spot to view the 青森ねぶた祭り. It's a famous yearly event, with enormous lighted up lanterns parading the streets of 青森. I realised that the hooha about this is that when the ねぶた turns around at a fast enough speed, it seems to be moving. And you'll be going WAAA.
After the festival ended at around 21:00, we tried to find a public bath house but to no avail. To anyone who reads this, please remember to book your lodging in advance. Off we went to the nearest 24 hr Mac which was dont know how many km away. Settled down at about 00:00, ate, washed up and stuff. The other 2 went zzzz but I had to force myself not to sleep, cos I know the staff will come making noise, and they really did at about 3:00 or 4:00. So we had to get our ass to another place. Thankfully we found a post office which served as a bus waiting station too. No one was there, and we napped and charged our phones and cam batts (yes, there were even power points! glad.)
Day 2 - 7th Aug
Left the post office, to find food? Ahhh, went back to the station, bought some omiyage and breakfast from the conbini. Then took the train to this place 20 mins away called 浪岡. The station ppl said there are apple trees there so we decided to head there. Went there and spotted the small plot of apple trees, but we're not complaining. Totally different from my image of an apple tree, but they look really good. Proceeded on to a bus rest station, where my friend bought this apple ice cream. Rather it was like a sorbet, made from pure apple! Quite interesting. And there were small vegetable stores, and I was in awe at how pretty and fresh the veges looks! YUm yum, felt like buying them to make curry. My friend also bought some peaches from a obaachan which tasted really good (although not alllll were sweet). Headed back to the station and found a rather lousy public bath. But yess we got to bathee! You had to put in 20yen to use the hair dryer for like 3 mins -_-'' Slept at the stairs while waiting for the next train. Returned to 青森 at about 14:00 plus but still very early from the 祭り. Went for lunch at this cosy 居酒屋, the other 2 were sleeping again, and got chased out because they were closing. Went shopping around, ate this very nice ice creamm (?) near the station, and proceeded near the sea area for the festival. ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOT OF PEOPLEEEEEEEEEE. Somehow managed to get a spot, rested awhile, then the fest started. The lanterns we saw the previous day were on boats which went parading along the coast. But somehow I felt that the reason why people gathered there was because of the fireworks? Yupp it was rather boring in the beginning but towards the end it got better. At 20:45 people started leaving, to catch trains home. We left at 21:00 when the fireworks ended and it was crazy as everyone was heading to the station (somewhat similar to national day). We hurried too as we were afraid we wouldnt have seats for our train from 青森 to 札幌 which takes about 8 hrs. Reached the station and bidded goodbye to Jasline, who had to leave because she had work the next day (and taking the shinkansen!!). By the time we got to the platform, there was already a loooong queue for the train. We got very sian and were superrrrr tireed. After about 1 hr plus, the train finally came, and luckily! I remembered wrongly, they had 64 seats instead of 32 seats in a cabin! We found seats and comfortably settled in and zzzzzzz even before the train departed. And missed the excitment going through the underground tunnel connecting 青森 with 北海道. Slept throughout the whole thing, suckerr!
Day 3 - 8th Aug
Woke up at about 2:00 and watched もののけ姫 and fell asleep halfway thru cos it was too heavy (referring to both movie and eyelids). Slept again and finally reached 札幌 at 6:00 plus. But still didnt have the I'm-in-Hokkaido! feeling. Took more trains again and reached 釧路 at about 17:00? Booked a hotel (was planning to mac but....), walked around the small town and saw several rather cool looking fishing boats. Went to a funny place whereby several 居酒屋s gathered and we decided to eat at this stall called 江戸っ子. We ordered おでん and 五目fried rice. The oden came first and we ate. Then the fried rice came later and my dearrrr junior CY asked me to start on it first. Okay lorr so I ate. Then next moment when I turned arounddd .. ... ... .. The daikon and konnyaku and taopok were almost GONEEEEEEEEE. Ate up my shareeeeeeeeee!!!!! Roarrrrr. Was abit pissed yet the whole thing was rather amusing. Later he didnt really dare to eat more of the fried rice. Whahaha senpai power!
Hotel Palude 釧路駅前: 3,400yen
Day 4 - 9th Aug
Woke up early in the morning to go to 釧路湿原 to see the meanders. When we reached the viewing point it was really nice... green grass and blue sky. And meanders i've always longed to see. The wind was slightly strong and the flies (big and mean) were attacking us (but no fret I brought Tiger balm along!) Maybe it was still abit early so there weren't many ppl around. Pro photographers, ahpehs... thats all. It was a free viewing point so you couldnt reallly see the meanders properly, but dont complain. To go to the better viewing point on the otherrrrr side you had to pay.. for the bus fare too (got to travel there 'free' as I had the train pass). Set off about an hour plus later. We stopped at some station I can't recall and tried to rush to see some lake with the limited time we had (before the train leaves) but could only catch a glimpse of it. So on our way back CY fell asleep again and when there was reception I called home, only my daddy was at home but it felt nice talking to him after such a long time. happy national day! i said.
returned to the small town at around 12 plus and went to retrieve our luggage from the hotel. bought 冷やし中華面 at lawsons because a young boy was eating that on the train and my stomach was growling. got on the free shuttle bus (only when you make a reservation with the hotel) to 阿寒湖 at 14:00. Ate, and slept.. throughout. Reached at 15:40 and the hotel we booked 阿寒ビューホテル turns out to be a very niceee hotell!!!! The had some マリも products which were quite cute. But we wasted no time and hurried to the Ecology Museum (free entrance) to see the famous マリも (interesting algaes? shaped like a ball). Well it was quite big, but not that biggg. It will take 100years for it to grow to the size of a baseball know. tsk tsk. Then we went to see 阿寒湖, but there wasn't anything spectacular about it because there was fog all around, not that strong, but enough to spoil the view. Before that we spotted ボケs, hot boiling bubbling mud. Imagine if you can put the cooler version of it on your face...... hmmmmm.
After some photo snapping (or shall I say alottt of photo snapping by CY, that's why he only finished filtering the Aomori photos now), we went to the shop street. It has a very cosy feeling, like it. Went to Seicomart (only available in hokkaido かしら?), a conbini and bought cup ramen and pudding for dinner. *plays sad music in the background* We also bought little マリもs, which is now sitting in my fridge as the temp here is prolly too hot for them. Also went to a Ghibili shop which I liked alot, prolly can spend an hour there, but I realised that CY was getting bored, so I had to leaveee the place without seeing everything T_T They even had kodamas lorrr! from mononoke.
Headed back to the nicee hotelll, I did some big business (hehehehe) and went to the onsen. AHHHHHHHHHHHH damn shiok cannnnnn. They had shampoo conditioner and body wash made from horse oil. Initially I was like EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. But then I mustered all my courage to try it and it really quite good. The hair turned very soft after using it. So after showering for probably 30mins or more. I went into the onsen. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Damn hot damn shiokkkk. (btw there was almost nobody there as it was dinner time, at about 8-9pm). Soaked for abit before going to the 露天風呂 (outdoor onsen) where they was nobody. The water was quite cold, and in another pool, the water was freaking boiling >.< So after talking to myself aloud in the colder pool, I did something very comical. I poured the water from the colder pool into the boiling pool. Then I went it and it was just right Ahhhhhhhhh. But then 3 minutes later, the hot water came nearerrr and I was forced to back away. -_-'' sucker.
By the time I returned to the room it was already near 10pm? CY also just returned from the onsen (otaku) and said he's going to bathe again when it turns 00:00 -__-'' cos then the hotel will change sides and the guys will get to enjoy the outdoor onsen. Ate our cup ramen and watched the Olympics on TV, didnt know Kitajima Kosuke was such a fast swimmer. Then didn't wanna pack and nuaaaaaa away. Finally finished packing and got onto bed zzzzzzz.
OMG HOW THE HELL CAN I FORGET TO INCLUDE THIS POINT!!! After I came out of the onsen and was wiping my body dry, this bloody little boyyyy was standinggggg one sideeeeeeee and LOOOOOOOKINGGGGGGGGG at meeeeeeeeeee!! I passed him some irritated looks but he still didnt run awayyy!! Then later I walked to my clothes basket and he followed meeee!!!! WTHHHHHHHHHH!! hope he wouldnt get to see a better body ever in his life!!!
Ah I forgot to mention, you had to pay quite alot for the ferry to get you to the small island in the middle of Akanko to see the bigger marimos, but then we were on a budget trip and didnt thinking it was that worth it.
Hotel Akan View: 5,000yen with breakfast and free shuttle bus service there from Kurshiro! Terrific onsen, well worth the money.
Day 5 - 10th Aug
Ate breakfast, not bad. Then at 7:50 boarded the 阿寒バス to go to 川湯温泉. Was quite shocked as there was a bus conductor, talking all the way, info about the place which was quite informative. She was a slightly plump and short lady probably in herr late 30s/early 40s. We had a veryyy pleasant surprise as the bus actually stopped at 摩周湖, one of the places we wanted to visit for the day. And what's moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. There was no fog at alllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! During the summer it's always covered in fog. DAMN SUPER HAPPY LA , i was already doing a little skip and smiling to myself like an idiot. The lake was probably the best thing I've ever seen. The clarity of the water is 30+ metres. Say also no point la huh. Wait for the photos! :DDDD
And they even let us stop at 硫黄山, another of the places we were planning to go to. The sulphur smell was just WOAHHHH when u are standing really near the gas emitting hole. And it's hot lor. Ppl were cooking eggs there. And parts of the mountain were yellowish. No grass/ weed was seen if I remembered correctly. We had a 夕張メロン soft cream which the bus conductor highly recommended, to quote her, ぴか一. It was not bad, but I'm not a fan of melon products so... hmm. But really not bad.
Reached Kawayu onsen shortly after and on the first sight of the hotel we were shockeddd. It looked very much like a rather high class hotel. Our arrival was rather early, thus couldnt checkin and merely deposited our bags. Went to the toilet and the door was automatic (wth). Then we set off to the tourist center to rent a free bike to 屈斜路湖. Started at about 11:25. After cycling about 8km we came to this point/spot called 砂湯(すなゆ), which was the spot recommended by the person in the tourist center for a good view of the lake, and our jaw just DROPPEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. There were soooooooo many peopleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, so many kidssssssss. We were like wahlauuuu, ECP ar? Pasir Ris Park ar? We stoned for awhile before we decided to cycle to the further spots. Somehow we missed the next stop and went to the next next stop called こたん, which was just another 8km away. Thank goodness the road was rather easy to cycle, not much steep slopes. That spot was just HEAVEN. Less than 10 people around, spectacular view, nice clear day, strong sunlight. There was even a small outdoor onsen for people to bathe in, but mostly they just soak their feet there. And dont know from where a small stram of water was flowing into the lake, and the temp was onsen hot. We had fun enjoying the Japs reaction to that little stream of hot water. The guy will go: あ、熱い!The woman will go: あ、本当だ! The version never changes, all the same :) We even went into the lake, it was like a pebble shore. Yay I went into Kussharoko! (And then our crocs expanded slightly -_-'')
After 30mins later (at 14:00), CY was probably done with taking 100s of Kussharoko photos, me suntanning there, we headed back to the hotel. On the way was chased by bugs again (yes even while riding the bike). Reached the little town at 15:20. Ah forgot mention we soaked our feet at the foot onsen just in front of our hotel. It's the besssssssssssst foot onsen so farrrr. It's damn hot and shiok. Went to Seicomart again and bought some dinner. CY bought an onigiri and they asked if he wanted to heat it up. I was VERYYYYYYY curious, I thought only Okinawa people did that, but even Hokkaido peeps?! So I asked if do they always heat their onigiris up here? There were 2 cashiers at the counter, and one of the cashier were dumbfounded, like a a a a ahhh..... for quite sometime. I was quite sure they understood what I was saying. So I said, because I thought that only Okinawa people do this. I looked at the other cashier for an answerrrr and finally she opened her golden mouth and said yup, they do ask customers if they want it to be heated up. I said thankyou and left. hahahaha.
went back to check in, the room was a japanese style room, which was quite olddddddddd lookinggg. and the window net to prevent the bugs from coming in even fell outtttt -_-'' and i had to call the front desk for helpp. we napped after lunching and woke up at 6-7pm.. then went to the nearby SMALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL festival to see the Ainu (Hokkaido's tribal group) do their traditional dance. The last dance, whereby 2 women fight for a guy, is kinda cute as they were just pulling the guy here and there and cat fighting with each other. Hur hur. Returned to the room and had the shockkkkkkkkkk of our lifesssssssssssssss. The futonnnnn were nicely laiddddddddddd out in the roommmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!! Previously before we left it was only the table, the futons were still in the cupboard. We were like HEHHHHHHH?!?!?!?!!? And so paiseh as the room was so messy. So we let our imaginations run wild. Futon Laying operation. When the guest is out, must lay the futons for themm at onceeeeee! LOL.
The onsen, also damn good one lorrrrrrr. Probably the water from iouzan, the smell of sulphur's strong. if it gets into your eyes it hurts. when u taste it, you'd think it's blood. shiok. but somehow i didnt stay that long in the onsen. (am i turning japanese?! becos they just dip in for like 1 min and get out WTH. as the days went by I got out even faster) went back room, packed, was halfway on my way to dreamland already when CY said there were starsssssss! We got downstairs to the feet onsen area. They were quite alot of stars, considering it was a cloudy night (so cloudy that the trip to Mashuuko to star gaze was cancelled, but we didnt sign up anyways). And I think I saw wrongly, but I thought I saw liu xing twice. LOL. CY tried to take photos of the nice sky but to no avail :( We ended the cold night (15-16 deg) with a nice note, by soaking our feet again!!
Hotel Plaza Kawayu Onsen: 4,300yen with breakfast
Day 6 - 11th Aug
Breakfast wasn't that good, but I'm not complaining (lol). After checking out at around 10:00 we took a bus to the station and took a train to *** station. Somehow at that point I felt that I havent boarded the train for a long time. Then took a bus to Utoro. Called the obaachan at the 民宿 to pick us up from the bus terminal. Well it was quite clean tatami room. The obaachan was very nice too :) But in the room I realiseddddd!!!!!!!!! That I dropped my digicam in the busssssss. Oh NOOOOOOO. We went back to the bus station to ask, but they found nothing. So...... was quite siannn, but we decided to proceed with our plans. Bought the ticket to the ferry ride departing at 14:30. We went to 7 eleven and I finally found the ATM to withdraw my money. Had been depending on CY for cash for the past few days. But I got card power, *winks*. Ate a nikuman which wasn't nice. The sea area is just crowded with seagulls.
14:30 the boat set sail and i will say... there wasnt much of an impact.... but the オホーツクsea was really beautiful... sooo blueee. cliffs were magnificient. but in the end this kamuiiwaka waterfalls was quite a disappointment. maybe it appeared too small from where we were. on the way back i fell asleep and lost my balance a little, but thank god i didnt fall into the sea! ah they spotted a small brown bear too, but both of us didnt see anything -_-'' after we got down from the boat, there were so many seagulls hovering in the sky that we were sooo scared that their bombs landed on us (one actually landed rather near me). Climbed this large boulderrrr ughhh what's the name already. something con one. reminded me of the time when i was climbing the great wall of china ... it provided quite a nice view of the sea and promised a good sunset view too. ate my choco anpans there, yum yum :) was torn between staying on the boulder to wait for the sunset, or to go to another spot called 夕陽台 to view the sunset. Finally we decided to go to the other sunset viewing spot. Went to 7 eleven first to get coke! hehe. reached there, and waited for another 30mins for the sun to get near the sea horizon..........
i cannot remember viewing any sunsets before in my life. perhaps this is really the first one? in hokkaido, utoro, not too bad heh? it was really quite pretty, with some clouds in the way but.... not too bad at all, as i've never been a fan of the sun :) and again CY was snapping awayyyyyyyyyy (he's a fan of sunrise and sunsets) and i was like hmmmmm OICCC, not bad. hahaha.
went back to the lodging for a little rest and to wash my feet (damn dirty). then we set off to find food..... sick and tiredddddd of conbini food!!! But it was already rather darkkkk, and the shops seem to have already closedd ?!?!?!? We were about to give up and return to conbini food when we spotted 2 eateries in a corner! Thank goodnesss. Went into one and CY ordered a salmon set while I ordered a sashimi set. It was quite a cosy place and we got one big table by ourselves (and it's the sit-on-floor type). Waited for awhile before the food came.. even started playing ji-ko-ba. It was quite a challenge for mee as it wasnt any sashimi i fancied. Octopus, scallop and Saba fish. Tako, ewwww, hotate raw?! ewwww. and i dislike saba in the first place. When i tried the hotate.. it was finee! No fishy smell at all, very smooth, no taste! hahaha. Went on to the saba and it was surprisingly deliciousss! Tako wasn't hard too!!! And they gave us lots of tasty rice to go with. The tonjiru soup was great too! and the shouyu ikura (orange fish eggs). yum yum. wwent back feeling satisfied. slept at about 00:30.
民宿 たんぽぽ: 4,200yen?? 刺身定食: 1,500yen
Day 7 - 12th Aug
Woke, went to the bus terminal to ask for the digicam again, but again.. dont havee :< wasn't hoping for anything anyways.
Took a bus to 知床五湖 which is a 世界遺産. Nothing really awed me there. But a deer was lying in the first lake we went to, kinda cute i think. We only toured the first and second lake as people spotted bears around the other 3 so we couldnt proceed further. Spent a few hours there and waited for the bus to head back to Utoro. We were unsure if we can get down halfway, and when we reached this 自然センター stop I felt that I hadddd to ask the driver if we are able to make a stop here. And indeed there's a 30min nature trail behind the nature centre. I felt that it was ALOTTTTTTTTT better than the 5 lakes area. There were nice flowers blooming, the 5 mountains clearly in the background, got to see the フレペ滝 rather close, and deers!!! In close proximity! They are probably already used to humans being around. Saw about 5-6 of them. And there weren't so much people as compared to the 5 lakes. If only I can take a nice nap there.
And so after LOTS of photo snapping by my dear friend, we headed back to Utoro for ramen. Somehow all ramen tastes the same to me. Give me some bombastic ramen soon! And CY was super tempted to sneak into some high class hotel's onsen to dip -__-'' We dropped by the bus terminal to ask if there was the cam again (did we ask in the morning or not?! ??) and they said noo.. after asking the bus conductor. said they cleaned the bus and also didnt find anything. Sighhhhhh lor. And the next bus was about 15:00 plus, we had little time left so we rushed back to Tanpopo to grab our bags. Btw, to go to Tanpopo you have to climb a rather steep slope to get there, and we decided it will be faster if CY rushes up there and get our bags down, so he passed me his bag and ran off. But the slope was sooo bloody steep I sweated like a pigggg and probably digested all my ramen away. When I reached Tanpopo CY said the kind obaachan will give us a ride to the bus terminal, YAY! So kinddd. We reached there in time to catch the buss! So we asked the bus lady whether the bus parked there was thaaat bus, but she said NO, at platform no.2! So ok, we went to wait... then... EH? HOW COME SO LONG ONE AR?!?!?! Then went to ask another lady, she said IT WENT OFF LIAO!!!!!!! KAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! MAKE US RUSH LIKE MAD FOR NOTHING!!!! We were cursing the bitchhhhhhh away. I sat down on the bench and took out my ipod to watch arashi's con, while CY went outside to draw. Probably waited for like at least 45 mins. Of course I fell asleep soon, too tired. Then he woke me him, bus came, got on bus, and there was some commotion, like he dropped his bag or some funny unusual action you wouldnt do when you wanna sit down (i was still very sleepy). Then the next thing I knew, my cam was in his hands!!!! KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I was happy , but still in a daze. He found it on the floor of the bus, just where we were sitting yesterday. I was thanking him I think. Then sat down, and I slept againnnnn. Too tired la haha. Slept all the way to destination. And I left my bus ticket in the bus. WTH is wrong with the bus and me sia. But I got my cam back, in a miraculous wayy! If we went on the earlier bus, we wouldnt have found the cam back! :)))
知床斜里駅 is a very modernized looking station, with very clean and nice toilets :)
Headed to 網走 just for lodging as it was cheaper than anywhere else. It was quite oldd, but aiya ok la, mai hiam la. Wasted no time and set off to look out dinner. YAKINIKU caught our eye. Yup in romanji! When we reached there, there wasnt any menu at the doorstep, but the door was open, and the staff was looking at us. And we were like... ermmmmm... should we go in anot.. looks kinda expensive heh..... we walked away. And we walked backk in. The staff must be thinking WTH THESE SUCKERS. We checked out the menu and as expected, not cheap, but we dont want conbini food!!! It was a rather high class place, abit excited. (Photos will tell everything). Then we ordered 網走和牛プライム! 7 rectangular thin pieces for about $22. Then some chicken, hotate, jagabatta, this funny kimichi cold ramen which tasted rather funnily nice, bimbimpa. The beef was reallyyyyyyy!!!! damn nice la i have never eaten such a thing like thatttttttt!! Cannot be described, please go eat for yourselves. At the end we weren't really fulll, but felt satisfied. Bill came up to 3,880yen. Initially I wanted to give my dearrr friend who found the cam for me a dinner treat, but it was too ex >.< We headed to the conbini to buy tmr's breakfast and jelly (during the trip i kept buying jelly) for the night. Ended up treating him to the stuff he bought from the conbini, lol , cheapo ma?
At night it was kinda hot, but after eating the jelly...... ahhhhh.. it became cooler.
ビジネスホテルみゆき: 2,800yen Old, but not rundown, room rather spacious, with wireless internet! CY said that he saw the Ojichan's cat, which caught a small rat. And I thought I heard a rat squeak in the middle of the night. Hmmm.
Day 8 - 13th Aug
Woke up early in the morning, took train to Furano.. reached at about 15:00 plus perhaps? Then went to Tomita farm, total disappointment. Lots of people, and the best part was that the lavenders were withering already :( CY was taking tons of photos as usual, I was just walking around, not a fan of flowers ma. Both of us were pretty bored. We had lavender ice cream, lavender lamune, lavender and calpis jelly (:P). I bought some hand towels cos I thought the purple looked quite nice haha. And postcards of the lovely lavenders we couldnt see. At least the sunflowers were pretty :)
We left the place with a very heavy auraa around us. Reached the station and train was still another 40mins or so away. There was this small stall set up by a obaachan and we chatted with her (or rather CY chatted with her. i'm surprised at his chatting skills). in the end she gave us some lavenders, which smelt really goodd. They are sitting in my vase now, withering though, but still smell good :) Wait for photos!
Got on the train, but our mood werent really good. Slept on the trainnn... reached 美瑛, went to the tourist info centre to collect info for tmr, found our lodging, checked in. Really nice place to stay at, I would like my summer home to be there maybe? :) Lodging was nice too but there wasn't any fan. It was rather hot. I even spotted a little cockroach on my bed and of course I got someone else to kill it. Went back to the station area for food, I had this 中華丼 which is more like あんかけ.. not that satisfying but well. By dinner time the heavy aura cleared up , planned the route for tmr, went to conbini to buy breakfast, returned to lodging and we slept quite early as compared to previous nights.
Cress 民宿: 3,500yen Very clean and cosy looking, however room is quite small.
Day 9 - 14th Aug
biei, otaru
eh.. updating again on 29th sept. probably forgot the details already. but i'll try..
morning woke up.. ate breakfast bought from 7 eleven the night before.. went off to rent bikes from the conbini near the eki.. and set off to see the OKAS and trees of biei. it was only the start but i shouted to my friend: WO BU XING LE! whahah. damn lousy. but the slopes were really rather steep. hanpajanee yo. weather was rather cloudy. forgot (or had no time?) to put sunblock. then saw those trees lor (really forget their names already. need photos and brochures). dont know wad seven stars or mild seven one la. damn stupid one lor. hwhahahahah! spent roughly 2 hours each for both sides (2 routes: one errr.. panoraaamaaa? and ?? shitt). halfway thru sun came out a little so i put on sunblock. had to take the 1++pm train so had to rush around a little. one of the best things was probably the flower garden we went to, alot better than furano. rather beautiful flowers. but im not a flower person. of course throughout there's really nice scenery, and it was peaceful :) no tall buildings (in fact no buildings?!) just lots and lots of plantations and greenery, and slopes. the sound of the wind (real winddddddddd, not that kind of wind u hear when u cycle down a slope). felt really good. and probably one of the things i enjoyed was the cycling. cy said we probably cycled 32km. though the distance was the same as kawayuonsen. the energy used is alot more. but the time we reached the eki we were sweating, not alot la. then then we took the train to otaruu~
ok update soon.
Day 10 - 15th Aug

Day 13 - 18th Aug
journey homee :(
22 Aug: It rained rather heavily last night and when I woke at about 830 this morning, the feeling was totally Hokkaido-ish. HOKKAIDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! It was really natsukashii, that cool morning feeling :) Drag myself up, bathe, pack, eat, and get ready to go to another new place~ |
